Try any variety of colors, and if you add horns he becomes a cow (or steer as the case may be!).

See the tear?  You are bringing this little guy back from extinction when you make him, and he's SO happy about it!

He will teach you to slump an entire rod to form his neck and will develop your free-form skills!

Once you get the hang of making Freddie the Frog he can multiply onto Hearts and other shapes of beads. 

Experiment and make changes to his colors and eyes and dots… there's no end to the changes you can make.  He can be built on just about any shape base-bead and is such a little darling.

Blue would love to sit beside you forever… such a faithful pup!  Make him out of blue glass or whatever color strikes your fancy.  You can also melt on transparent dots for a neat spotted effect.  His ears can be made to flop forward as I have, or can be pullled up to a point or made long and drooped over the sides of his face like a hound. 

This sweet Kitty is a good one to start with after Willie the Worm if you are new to lampworking.  She will give you practice slumping and flattening, and putting a little dot face on and drawing a tail with a stringer. 

You can make her in endless colors and patterns.  Her tutorial also has variation pictures that include paws and a yarn ball made of a twisted multi-color stringer.

This tutorial makes Henrietta Hippo... as a tutorial she's good practice on eyes, ears and legs.  The face shape is simple and the challenge is to get a lot of emotional appeal with the eyes and ear shapes. 

Notice that Henrietta's face is rounder and turns out almost quizzically, while Harvey's is narrower on top and widening at the bottom and is straight with his body.  His look is more interested or curious.  They have different looks but both are appealing.  The little tail standing up on the rear end is a finshing touch that helps make them seem more real.  Make them in any color you like, they are sweet alone or together. 

You can also add a flower or bow to make Henrietta even cuter.

This tutorial makes pretty Francine the Fish, and she can be adapted in endless ways and colors.  Melt in dots and swirl them on the base bead before you flatten it, or place dots upon dots to make scales… the options are endless. 

You can also decorate her sides with flower dots or add a side fin.  Imagine all the color combinations that are possible!

 This tutorial will show you how to make this fellow.  You just change the colors to make him a her.

There's plenty of room for adding flowers and dots and cute decorations to their shells!  You can also marbelize the base bead/shell with frit or color swirls for a neat look and then impress your shell lines.

Teddy can be made in endless colors and with or without a necktie and poked flower. 

The color I used for this tutorial makes him look like Gingerbread to me, but he is a Teddy Bear none the less!  He looks like he is saying “What!  I look like gingerbread?  No bites please!”   You can make his pupil dots smaller and he will have less of a surprised look.

I used green filigrianna for his necktie.  I heated a rod of it and pulled into a thin stringer.  It makes a great vine too because the clear encasing around the green keeps it crisp looking.  Did you notice the stitching-dots down his tummy? You can add them or not as you like.

This sweet birdie can be a duck or a tweetie bird as you like.  In fact, you can change colors on the body and wings, make it wider or narrower, and make it any type of birdie you like! 

You can also put her beak on the other side of her head to have her looking backward.  The sky is the limit to your creative options with this sweet Tweetie Bird!

This tutorial will show you how to make a nicely shaped heart bead EASILY.  The heart-shape can be so elusive - but this tutorial gives you the simple steps to make them well everytime!

Slim will help you practice making lots of little arms and toes!  You can do anything with the base-bead before applying Slim - like apply frit, add dots, rake swirls, and so on.  The options are endless!
